Experience pricing below are for Bygone Basics LEARN and DO premium sessions.  One to eight people in a group that engages these private heritage experiences.  The group selects (with Valerie) what they desire to learn.  Included in your package is a farmstyle meal (be sure to come hungry!).  One to 4 different Experiences can be selected in a given session.  Take home what you created or canned.

 
An Experience is defined as a specific activity, such as creating pies or canning tomatoes.  Many choose multiple experiences and spend a half day or even a day with us.  The Experiences are carefully orchestrated to allow for maximum fun AND learning.   For example learning how easy it is to bake bread is well matched with churning butter and jam making experiences.  They go together well and make good use of the bread's rising time.

** NOTE: Canning and Jams/Jellies cost an additional $5 pp for materials.    **Also note that there are plenty of "In-season" produce materials during the off-season, ask Valerie what she recommends.  Choosing to can something that may be difficult to obtain locally or that is extremely out of season may also result in a somewhat higher materials cost. An example would be canning tomatoes in January...it can be done and is done.... and the fun experience and learning still occur, but the tomatoes will be purchased at a store.

MEET and RETREAT.  These are wonderful team building opportunities and Experiences for large groups.  The dining room and parlor are available for meeting times and strategy sessions...as is the outdoor deck. Design a program that works for you from the "ala carte" menu below.  These can include beverage and tasty snack, a farmstyle lunch, and/or Bygone Basics experiences (this makes a great teamwork activity).   You can choose to just meet and have a tour and snack, or select to have a old-style farm luncheon with your meeting; OR add heritage experiences for a great bonding/learning activity.  You can select just the experience with no meeting or food service, as well.  One time meetings, regular meetings and clubs are welcome too.  Additionally, Valerie can provide a fascinating historical program for your group.  Call or email with questions about your group.
